Two big events are coming up in Bartlesville are being presentes by Bartlesville Kiwanis. Appearing on COMMUNITY CONNECTION, Pat Gamble told us all about Celebrate Giving on November 14 at The Center and The Barlesville Kiwanis Christmas Parade on December 7.

Pat said that there are 49 nonprofits in town that are signed up to be part of Celebrate Giving. It's going to be on November 14th at the Center from 4:30pm to 6:30pm and it provides ways for nonprofits to highlight themselves, let the community know who they are and what they do. Admission is free.

"That's our purpose of giving them a platform, basically, to shine. And opportunities to win some great cash prizes as well. A party with a purpose, said Pat adding,"Bartlesville has a big heart and this is an opportunity for all of those nonprofits to let the community know who we are, what we do, how we can help, and how they can help."

We always want volunteers, and so they have that opportunity to do that as well. Some ways they can win some prizes is if they let Kiwanis come and talk to their board. They get a drawing for a cash prize if we can make a presentation about the event to their board.

And if they have their board members, attend that night. So if you can get all of your board members there, you get in another drawing for another prize. So there are lots of ways to win prizes.

And one of the great things that we have this year is an opportunity to e win a Branson trip. Pat said this is a premier trip: six days, five nights at a Wyndham Hotel event in Branson. The tickets are $20 each or six for $100. And each ticket is an entry into that drawing to win that trip. It is graciously donated by Grace Farmer and her family. And we are selling tickets online. You can go online to BordersWithKiwanis.org, buy your tickets there.

You can also buy tickets the day of the event. Pat said  "It is an excellent trip, and we're trying to raise $1,000 to give away. We want prizes to give away to our participants that night. In the event that we don't make that $1,000 prize, the winning ticket will get 20% of whatever we've raised."
